Dress Code Rule #6:
Black Tie

Black tie dress code

Welcome to DCR6, also known as the “Black Tie” dress code rule.  For your most formal events, such as weddings, balls, proms and all “tuxedo” affairs, you should always be dressed under this dress code rule. For men, a tuxedo is a must–and no, wearing a suit with a black tie does not qualify.  For women, this is your chance to shine.  You have great flexibility with this dress code rule, but make no mistake, this is your Cinderella moment.  A formal gown and beautiful shoes will make you the belle of the ball.  So if you’re going to a black tie event, DCR6 if for you!
